Constellation Software Acquires Selected Assets of John Deere Agri Services, Inc.
Constellation Software Inc., (“Constellation”) (TSX:CSU) of Toronto, Canada announces the acquisition of the AGRIS and EXTENDAg software lines from John Deere Agri Services, Inc., (“JDAS”), a division of Deere & Company in January 2011.
The business has been incorporated as AGRIS, Inc., with two divisions serving the US agri-business industry – AGRIS for grain and oilseed, based in Alpharetta, Georgia and EXTENDAg for the fruit and vegetable market in Lathrop, California.
AGRIS will continue to offer its AGRIS™ V9 grain accounting software; oneWeighscale automation software and binSight bin management software systems to the grain and feed industry.
“This acquisition builds upon Constellation’s agri-business platform providing new opportunities to expand our market footprint and offering in North America,” says Jim Baker, President, agri-food division of Constellation.
Other agri-businesses under the Constellation umbrella include United Kingdom-based organisations BMS Computer Solutions, Cal Software, and Kinross Software.

Constellation Software Acquires BMS Computer Solutions

TORONTO, ON, JUNE 22, 2010 – Constellation Software Inc. (“Constellation”) (TSX:CSU) announced today that it has purchased the shares of BMS Computer Solutions (“BMS”) of Ipswich, UK. BMS provides IT services and software solutions to the agricultural industry; its solution portfolio includes the MillMaster, MasterTrader and Trader suite of products.
“This acquisition further enhances Constellation’s entry into the agri-business vertical,” said Jim Baker, President of the Agri-Business Division. “We look forward to continuing to develop the agri-business platform within Constellation. This acquisition allows our company to expand further into the important milling and trading industry within the United Kingdom.”
