Prescription Changes

The current version of MillMaster incorporates modifications to enable the software to comply with the latest legislation produced by the Veterinary Medicines Directorate with regards to the handling of prescriptions and the control of who (which location) can sell what (category of product) to whom (customer).

Changes in the scope of prescriptions regulations have highlighted the need for the software to support a number of additional scenarios:

• Allow prescriptions to be held for multiple periods with a specified tonnage allowed to be drawn for each period.
• Allow one prescription to be held for more than one product.
• Allow one prescription to be used at more than one site.

The prescriptions element of MillMaster has been re-written providing a clearer and simpler interface to facilitate easy addition, deletion, maintenance, reporting and processing of prescriptions whilst also supporting the new multi-period,
multi-product, multi-site requirements necessitated by the changes in legislation.

The Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain (RPSGB) is now referred to as the Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD). Along with this name change the Site Categories, Feed Types and rules that govern who can sell what to whom have changed. MillMaster has been modified to adhere to the latest VMD legislation, including the introduction of trading standards registration, and now allows effortless application of VMD rules to ensure full compliance.
